On the morning of December 4, our department held the launching ceremony of the "December 4" National Constitution Day and the "Constitution Publicity Week" series of activities in the report hall of the Library of Hongqi Campus. Li Zhiming, Secretary of the Department's Party Committee, Ouyang Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Department's Party Committee, and Zhang Qi, Deputy Head of the Department attended. All members of the Department's propaganda group and some students attended. The ceremony was presided over by Wu Qianru, deputy director of the Student Work Office and deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of our department.
At the beginning of the meeting, Li Huan, the representative of the propaganda group, said, "How to tell a good story about the rule of law? How to dig deeply into the stories behind the rule of law characters? How should college students inherit the red rule of law gene?" The representative of the Legal Aid Center, Xi Bidiu, told the story of his association with the Legal Aid Center and introduced the activities and achievements of the Legal Aid Center in recent years. Zhu Mingjun, a member of the Constitution Propaganda Group, led all the participants to read some chapters of the Constitution.
Ouyang Peng and Zhang Qi respectively issued letters of appointment for the student representatives of the publicity group.
Zhang Qi gave a lecture on the Constitution to all teachers and students under the theme of "Living under the Constitution". He elaborated on the development and changes of China's society since the reform and opening up, the relationship between the rule of law and social governance, the relationship between the rule of law and social governance innovation, and the content of choosing the rule of law as the way of social governance.
Ouyang Peng, on behalf of the Party and government team of our department, expressed heartfelt thanks to the teachers and students who have been adhering to the rule of law publicity for a long time. He said that, as teachers and students of our department, we should actively respond to the work deployment of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Justice and the National Office for the Popularization of Law on carrying out this year's "National Constitution Day" and "Constitution Publicity Week" publicity activities, and in combination with our professional characteristics, we should publicize the Constitution and popularize the Constitution in various forms on campus, so as to improve the consciousness of teachers and students to abide by the law and the ability to use the law to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests. At the same time, we should go out of the campus and publicize the Constitution and laws and regulations closely related to the people's work and life in a way that is popular with the public, promote the spirit of the Constitution and strengthen the concept of rule of law. The constitution preaching group should do a good job of preaching, tell the story of the constitution vividly, cultivate a culture of rule of law, and contribute to serving the country's rule of law construction, social needs, and talent training.
