On the afternoon of November 29th, the final of the 22nd "Ligong Cup" Legal Debate Competition was successfully held in the Lecture Hall of Hongqi Campus Library. Li Zhiming, Secretary of the Party Committee of our college, Ouyang Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Zhang Qi, vice president of our college attended the contest. Su Xionghua, Ma Long, Zhang Zhijian, Huang Suqin, Ling Ruijin, Duan Weiwei, Liu Shengyun and other law teachers served as judges. More than 200 teachers and students watched the contest.
This competition was divided into two games, respectively around the "personality right is more important or property right is more important" and the case of "defense is too much" two debates launched a fierce discussion. The debaters on both sides began their argument with sonorous and powerful conclusions. In the section of free debate, the debtors closely focus on the debate cases, or cite the law, or explain the jurisprudence, clear and logical, with legal knowledge to discuss the charges, demonstrate the jurisprudence, and finally sublimate the final statement with incisive wording and sharp language. The 16 contestants showed the professionalism and elegance of law students in the course of the competition, and presented two wonderful debates for the audience.
After the competition, the judges gave concise and targeted comments on the application of professional knowledge, rationality of the argumentation process and debate skills. In the end, Mr. So Xionghua's team won the champion of the "Ligong Cup", Ms. Wong So-qin's team, Ms. Wang Xiang's team and Ms. Zhang Ming's team won the second, third and winning prizes respectively, and Ms. Cao Xinyi and Ms. Yan Yan won the best debater.
It is reported that the legal debate competition is a competition for all law students in our college combined with the characteristics of the law major. It gives full play to the advantages of our college and professional teachers in the practice of education, is a vivid reflection of the innovation of the practice education system and the service of the training goal of legal talents, and is also a vivid practice of group education and full staff education.The debate competition will continue with the tutor team participation system, and each teacher will guide the team in the whole process.
