Law School of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology was established in April 2001 on the basis of the former Department of Social Science, integrating related majors. It is a teaching and research institution integrating the disciplines of law and public administration.

The college has 78 faculty and staff members, and has two undergraduate majors, namely law and administration, among which law is the undergraduate brand major and university-level key construction discipline in Jiangxi Province.

The School now has a first-level master's program in law, and four second-level master's programs in environmental and Resource Protection Law, civil and commercial Law, criminal Law, constitutional Law and administrative Law. Meanwhile, it has the right to grant master's degree in law, and another second-level interdisciplinary master's program in law administration.

The college now has a research center of environmental and Resource Law, a research base of Gannan Hakka intangible cultural heritage, and a provincial and municipal discipline (technical) platform of Gannan Local Legislative Research Institute, among which the Research Center of Environmental and Resource Law is a key research base of humanities and social sciences in ordinary universities in Jiangxi Province.In addition, the Central Soviet Area legal system Research Center, regional and community governance research center and other on-campus research platforms.

The college has made great achievements in teaching and scientific research in recent years.With solid teaching foundation, it has been approved as the "Autodesk" software Support plan of the Ministry of Education, the development project of central financial support for local colleges and universities, and the Outstanding Legal talent education training base of Jiangxi Province. It has also been approved as the Excellent Teaching Achievement Award and excellent Teaching Material Award of Jiangxi Province.The direction of scientific research is clear, with distinctive features and outstanding development advantages, and a number of influential research results have been produced.It has undertaken more than 20 national social science funds and humanities and social science projects of the Ministry of Education, more than 100 provincial-level and ministerial-level projects, and won more than 20 provincial-level and ministerial-level research and teaching achievement awards.More than 20 textbooks and monographs have been published, and hundreds of papers have been published, among which many papers have been searched by authoritative periodicals such as Xinhua Digest, photocopied newspapers and periodicals of the National People's Congress.

At present, the college has 1272 undergraduates and 173 postgraduates.The college pays special attention to the construction of campus culture and the cultivation of outstanding talents. By carrying out various professional quality development activities, the comprehensive ability of students has been improved.The college also pays special attention to the cultivation of students' innovation and entrepreneurship quality, and has set up an Innovation and entrepreneurship center to provide students with various professional practice platforms such as tianlongitudinal Industrial Pioneering park, mock court and mock hearing room, which greatly improves students' employment and entrepreneurship ability.
