In order to promote our graduate students to carry out academic exchange activities independently, cultivate their academic innovation ability, improve their scientific research level and scientific research ability, expand their academic horizons, and encourage academic innovation, our university held the 14th Postgraduate Academic Forum on November 23, 2021 in 217 academic lecture hall of our university.
A total of 25 students participated in the academic forum. After the blind review of our college, 8 students were finally determined to be qualified to participate in the forum. The academic forum was presided over by Wang Xiwen, a 21 level graduate student of our college. The judges were Mr. Zhang Qi, Mr. Yang Lingyan and Mr. Zhang Zhijian.

From the perspective of "whether the modification of the buyer's rules for normal operation can improve the transaction efficiency", through the application of cost-benefit analysis and the analysis of transaction efficiency, she draws a conclusion: from the perspective of cost-benefit analysis, the total transaction cost shows a downward trend and the total transaction income shows an upward trend, which makes the rules directly improve the transaction efficiency. In terms of the total transaction cost, the buyer can reduce the review cost in the contracting cost by applying the Kaldor Hicks efficiency standard; In terms of total transaction income, the direct and indirect income of the transferor in the transaction process will increase, so this rule can improve the transaction efficiency. The review cost paid by the mortgagee is far from the review cost reduced by the buyer in the sales contract.
The topic of Jiang Chuanhui's thesis is "quantitative applicable research on the seriousness of circumstances in the crime of throwing objects at high altitude -- taking gravity as the logical starting point". He believes that the fuzziness of "serious circumstances" in the crime of throwing objects at height will inevitably lead to excessive discretion of judicial personnel and different applicable standards in judicial practice, which will easily lead to the phenomenon of different judgments in the same case. Therefore, it is necessary to limit the scope of application of "serious circumstances" to maintain judicial fairness. The crime of throwing objects at high altitude is affected by gravity and gravitational acceleration, which makes it possible not only to limit the "serious circumstances" subjectively by the offender, but also to provide the possibility of objective upper limit. In particular, it is quantifiable and applicable by specific values: Taking the impact force of 3430n generated by falling objects as a watershed, The high-altitude throwing behavior that does not reach 3430n shall be determined as not meeting the objective standard of "serious circumstances", and when it reaches 3430n, it can be determined that the objective standard has been met. This provides a more clear reference value for the objective identification of "serious circumstances" in the crime of throwing objects at height, and helps to prevent the abuse of discretion.
In addition, the other six graduate students also made corresponding analysis and elaboration on the topic selection and framework of their own papers.
After the presentation of each graduate student, the judges rated their performance one by one, commented on the advantages and disadvantages of the paper and put forward corresponding suggestions. The judges and teachers commented on the participants' papers from the aspects of paper topic selection, paper title, logical structure and PPT production, and pointed out their shortcomings. For example, they should condense the innovative ideas of the article into the abstract, the title should be concise and put forward innovative points, the paper structure is not logical, the text frame is too large, and the demonstration process is not sufficient.
While pointing out the shortcomings, the teacher also affirmed the students' topic selection and writing methods, praised the students' solid theoretical foundation and strict logical reasoning, and put forward specific suggestions on how to demonstrate with cases in the paper writing.
At the end of the forum, Mr. Zhang Qi, Mr. Yang Lingyan and Mr. Zhang Zhijian awarded the winners of the first prize, the second prize and the third prize of the academic forum.
