From June 30 to July 1, the 2022 talent training and tutor work conference was held in the 217 academic lecture hall of our college. Gong yaoteng, member of the Standing Committee of of the University Party committee and vice president of the University, attended the meeting. Chen Longquan, deputy director of the graduate work department of the CPC Committee and vice president of the graduate school, Zheng Minggui, vice president of the school of economics and management, Wang Lei and Lu shengkuan, external practice experts and outstanding alumni, attended the meeting and gave guidance and guidance reports. The leading group of the law school, all teachers of the law discipline, and administrative personnel of the law school attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by President Xiang Bo. Gong yaoteng put forward five requirements for the development of the discipline of law: first, the college should form a unified understanding on the orientation and objectives of talent training. Focusing on the characteristics of the subject and the question of how to carry out teaching and education in the new era, the issue of "what kind of talents should be trained, how to train and for whom" should be clarified. Second, the construction of disciplines should fully consider the actual needs, and do not build "empty shelves". The discipline of law is a very practical discipline. While paying attention to the development of emerging technologies, it also strengthens practical education and effectively integrates professional education with modern educational technology and methods. Third, the overall development of the college should focus on reform. We should adhere to the principle of proceeding from reality, promote the evaluation system of talent training mechanism, and continuously improve students' autonomous learning ability. Fourth, make full use of internal and external resources to strengthen the joint educational function of the academic platform. On the existing basis, we will strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the public security, procuratorial and legal systems, law firms and associations of other provinces and cities. Fifth, we should deeply consider the construction of first-class professional discipline construction sites. The construction of discipline points should reflect the characteristics and status of the discipline, reflect the combination of morality and law, national feelings, international vision and excellent ability, be good at learning from good practices, and be widely recognized by the society.
At the meeting, Chen Longquan introduced the responsibilities of graduate tutors in Ideological and political education and management with the title of "becoming the life tutor of graduate students", and made suggestions on the education management, guidance and professional quality improvement of graduate talent training with big data analysis. Zheng Minggui talked about his personal experience and suggestions on the cultivation of graduate students from the aspects of the cultivation of ideas and exploration spirit, scientific research methods, process management, and harmonious teacher-student relationship. Wang Lei described his personal experience with the title of Jiang Li and law youth in my mind, and proposed that the cultivation of young people should pay attention to moral character, positive life attitude, work attitude and comprehensive ability from the three aspects of "work + temperature", "profession + ethics" and "responsibility + responsibility". Lu shengkuan regards the party's goal of educating people, cultivating talents for the country, and cultivating outstanding legal talents as the starting point, and puts forward suggestions such as breaking the barriers between traditional teaching and practical teaching, paying attention to communication ability, implementing the foreign tutor system, and setting up relevant courses. Wang Shijin and Su Xionghua from the law school also shared their experiences on the subject status, education and teaching, guidance of students' goals and directions, and improvement of students' scientific research and academic ability.
Xiang Bo introduced and explained the talent training and tutor work conference from the aspects of the organization and preparation of the conference, the theme and agenda arrangement of the conference, the objectives and significance, and elaborated on the current round of discipline stratification and cluster construction of the law school. Vice president Zhang Qi interpreted the talent training program and relevant documents. Teachers Ma long, Zhang Zhijian and Su Xionghua of the college reported on the training plan and discussion documents, including the training details, curriculum arrangement, class arrangement, curriculum connection and other issues.
Li Zhiming, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the college, made arrangements for Party building, ideological and political work, ideological work, teacher ethics, civilization building, safety and stability work. At the same time, all faculty members were organized to sign a commitment letter on Teacher Ethics and style.
It is reported that this meeting was organized and carried out by our college on the basis of summarizing and analyzing the achievements in personnel training and the implementation of the tutor system in recent years, after the leadership team of our college deliberated for many times, learned from the leading universities in domestic disciplines, and communicated with the practical departments and law firms outside the college.
